It's a pleasant competition, an amusing competition, a hard
and exhausting competition, indeed one of those competitions
you hardly ever forget. Maybe for this reason, it has become
over the last few years an irresistible call which attracts
many athletes who reach Val Rendena to give life to a breathtaking
two wheels show. (Sept. 2-3, 2006).
The mixed route, 6 kilometres long, takes place among the ancient
historical centres of the villages of Bocenago, Caderzone and
Strembo. The athletes cycle around old fountains, pass through
cobbled paved alleys and well-kept fields to eventually face
ups and downs prepared on purpose in order to create changes
and difficulties. Around a thousand two hundred bikers who,
alone or in relay teams, challenge themselves cycling for 24
hours non-stop, in an atmosphere of sympathizing competition,
tiring joy and friendly antagonism.
