Flames of light

At dusk, when the pinkish light of the Brenta Dolomite sunset cloaks the whole Campiglio with incomparable allure, is precisely when the magic happens. A thousand fiery lights illuminate the winter and the whiteness of the snow, telling stories of enchanted woods, aromas of fruit and spices and the gentle sounds of dreams. It is then, when the last snow of the day falls to remind you that it's December, that also the smallest light of the town is extinguished to make way for the candles. The lights indicate the roads and the paths, describing a journey that will end on Christmas Eve, among the resinous fir loaded with snowflakes in the Campiglio Conca Verde..
This fascinating journey, so rich in atmosphere, begins at sunset on Saturdays in December, when the woods cast their mysterious shadows on the houses. It is then that one can stroll through the town centre past candlelit shop windows, cafés that have suddenly turned romantic with small lights on the tables, or you can decide to treat yourself to a lovers' dinner in the little restaurant at the end of the street. In the squares, there is a magical winters atmosphere, amongst the soft flavour of hot apples with cinnamon, pastel-coloured cotton candy and hot, steaming fruit-flavoured teas, offered by princesses borrowed from fairy tales. The background music is from your last dream, the one you were not able to remember but would love to hear again.
The most adventurous can climb to an alpine refuge, with torch in hand and snowshoes on their feet, for a romantic candlelight dinner, whilst candles mark the path of a sled that will take two lovers on an enchanted ride through fir trees bending under the weight of the snow.
