Arte All'Aperto is an experience, in Lavarone, where you can share thoughts and feelings in a creative explosion surrounded by the suggestive beauty of your forest. This summer I have been able to live immersed in the enchanting magic of fir trees, larches, rhododendrons and cyclamens. The intense rain and the heat of a clear sky; the moon standing out behind superimposed silhouettes of mountains and against the back light of an enormous silver fir tree standing in the foreground…
This is the most beautiful part of coexistence: where art and nature come together.
As well as the thought of Osele, a son of the forest, returning there to surround himself, like in a work of art, with the materials that enabled his birth, as if out of some kind of unquestionable need. Stealing from Brancusi, Osele gets closer to plant matter from a knowledge borne out of what his hands think, reflect and find – thereby finding a harmony with the medium. It always seems that he had in his hands the wood that gives a place to his pieces. His vitalistic way of working engenders harmonious compositions that are loaded with humour and a sense of playfulness that encapsulates the sense of an inhabited, loved and respected forest.
Genny and Osele welcomed me into the meeting with a care and generosity that, in itself, could only be the fruit of a symbiosis akin to the kindness of their so adored Lavarone forest. As a painter, it had been a profound experience for me to feel work that surrounds the person who “creates” it; Genny’s effort and perseverance, his wife, and the illusion that combines in the design - exhibiting the complexity of the human being in art as in life. There were just several days where one could visit the entire exhibition (although a series of pieces are on permanent display) - days for friends and new acquaintances to meet.

Arte All 'Aperto calls for, as a fundamental aspect, the perfumed air of the Trentino forests, and not only this, but also all the delight that the Lavarone forest offers the five senses. What can be said to people about it? Offerings such as Arte All’Aperto bring to everyone’s life sculptural expression as a means of enjoyment without tedious introduction, mixing beauty, harmony, variety and most of all pleasure.
